Concert | Alec Benjamin

Alec Benjamin played a show at the O2 Sheperds Bush Empire on November 26 and I WAS THERE. Honestly, I didn’t think I would get to see him perform anytime soon so I was very excited when I realised that another bucket list thing of mine was about to come true. If you know me in person or have been reading my blog, you’ll know how I feel about this artist. And as expected, he did not disappoint.

Billie Eilish | everything i wanted

The song describes a nightmare where Billie commits suicide and the public its back on her because everybody stops caring. It also hints at her strong relationship with her brother, FINNEAS, who is in her corner no matter what.
The calmness and subtle beats in this song compliment the message and emotions very well. I also love how the lyric ‘If they knew what they said would go straight to my head, what would they say instead?‘ is a reminder to be nice to each other because you never know how your words will affect someone.

Killing It | OneRepublic

I am listening to OneRepublic’s new song Somebody To Love as I am writing this blog post and it made me think about how the band has been absolutely killing it lately – hence the new blog post category that shall be nurtured from now on.

After four years the wait is finally over: Melanie Martinez is back with her second album “K-12”. Is it everything I hoped it would be? No.
