I am going to keep this blog post short and sweet because I do not know what else to say besides the fact that this album is perfect in every single way. The wait was definitely worth it and from this moment on I am going to lay back and simply watch Ed conquer 2017. It was a smart move to release the first two singles at a time of the year where the music industry seems to be ‘dead’. That allowed people to truly focus on his music because there was not much competition. Same goes for his album: most artists start releasing music in summer and the peak is in autumn/winter. March is pretty dead, which is why I think it was a good idea to release the new album today.

My favorite songs so far are Eraser, Castle on the Hill, Dive, Shape of You, Galway Girl, New Man and Barcelona. Apart from Dive, which is one of those gorgeous ballads that hits you right in the feels, they are quite uptempo and fun to listen to. The album is going to be on repeat for the next weeks so I am sure that my top picks will change, but for now, those are the songs that stick out to me the most. Judging by the sound, Divide seems to be a happier record than Multiply… what do you think? And what is your favorite song?
