New Discovery | Scout Killers

To all of you Alternative Rockers out there: I found a band that you might want to add to your playlist.

Scout Killers, a five piece band from the UK, were founded back in 2009. According to their bio, they draw some inspiration from bands like Queens of the Stone Age and Red Hot Chili Peppers, which can definitely be heard in their songs. What’s cool, though, is that they still managed to find a style that separates them from bands who produce the same genre.

Their latest single called Rip Me Apart was released at the end of March. Compared to the songs on their self-titled debut album, I feel like this new one is a bit on the heavier side – perfect for all you rockers out there! The more I listen to it, the more I think this band would be a perfect addition to Nova Rock‘s line-up!

My favorite track, however, is from their Stand Your Ground EP called Honey. I find the beginning of the song quite calming, which is a rare thing to say about a rock song. The video, which is simple yet beautiful, kinda reminds me of Black Swan – watch it here and tell me what you think!

If you live in the UK, you will get the chance to see the band live. They are going to play a lot of festivals this year, including Glastonbury (♡) and The Bulldog Bash. Having supported No Devotion at O2 Islington and also played alongside bands like The Computers and Fearless Vampire Killers, I am sure they are going to have no trouble putting up a badass show at those festivals!

Check out Scout Killers on Soundcloud and YouTube and like them on Facebook to stay updated. Their music is definitely a great introduction to the rock scene!
